Disney Releases Renderings Of New Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs
Next summer Walt Disney World Resort will unveil a completely re-imagined Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. It will feature hundreds of new guestrooms and a multitude of new amenities. The resort updates include fresh storytelling and functional enhancements from Walt Disney Imagineering. All of these updates are sure to make a dramatic impact on the experience for guests.
The biggest addition to the property will be a 15-story tower offering a two-level entrance lobby and 545 guest rooms (including 50 suites). It also brings a new themed rooftop table-service restaurant and lounge featuring panoramic views of the Resort. Furthermore, guests will enjoy two presidential suites, concierge-level services, and much much more.

A second new restaurant will be located on an island in the middle of the resort’s 14-acre lake, Lago Dorado. In addition, new walkways will stretch across the lake, allowing quick and convenient passage to and from all areas of the resort.
All 1,800-plus existing rooms at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort feature updated fixtures, furnishings and lighting. A fresh, sophisticated color palette will also tie the entire resort together when the tower opens. When the tower makes it debut it will boast a total room count of more than 2,400.
“For many of our guests, magical memories begin at one of our 27-themed resorts each and every day,” said Josh D’Amaro, senior vice president of Walt Disney World Resort Operations. “At Walt Disney World Resort, we continue to expand our portfolio and invest in new resort developments that allow even more guests to be immersed in all that a Disney resort has to offer.”

The transformation will stay true to the current resort theme. It reflects the vibrant spirit of adventure that lived within the Spanish explorers of North America.
Tile roofs, mosaic accents, arched windows and doorways, and shady courtyards and patios highlight Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, located on the west side of World Drive near Blizzard Beach water adventure park. The resort is Disney’s first moderately priced convention hotel. Furthermore it features a 220,000-square-foot convention center with meeting and exhibit space and one of the largest hotel ballrooms in the southeast.
