Where to Get Disney Donuts on National Donut Day
Maybe you dunk them in your coffee or milk, break them in half or just sink your teeth right into them. No matter how you eat donuts, there’s no denying that these treasured sweets are delicious! This Friday, June 1st, you can celebrate your love for donuts on National Donut Day an event that, believe it or not, happens twice a year – November is the next one. If you are looking for donuts on your Disney trip, here are the places where you can satisfy your sweet tooth and get your favorite Disney donuts:
Joffrey’s Espresso & Pastries Kiosks
In Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, there are Joffrey’s kiosks scattered throughout the parks. For example, at the Epcot Theme Park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, you can pick up a donut with such delectable sauces as raspberry, chocolate or white chocolate sauce.
Erin McKenna’s Bakery
Located in Orlando’s Disney Springs, Erin McKenna’s Bakery offers donuts in such popular flavors as cinnamon sugar, sprinkles, chocolate dipped, toasted coconut, coffee crunch and salted caramel. Get a napkin – you’re drooling.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Who said that a donut needs to be eaten all by itself? Take a donut and top it with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, chocolate Mickey ears and a cherry and you have a decadent doughnut sundae dessert! It’s a must-eat when you’re at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom.
Remy’s Patisserie
Okay say it with me – awwwwwww! These donuts are shaped to honor your favorite Disney characters and brilliantly decorated. Located in Shanghai’s Disneyland at Remy’s Patisserie, you will find these Mickey & Friends Donuts including a Mickey Mouse Donut with his trademark shorts and a Minnie Mouse Donut with her signature bow and polka dots. You can’t have a Donald Duck Donut without his sailor hat and Daisy Duck Donut without her pink bow too. Who said you need to pick just one? Feel free to sample them all.
Refreshment Port
At Epcot, visitors travel around the world, trying dishes that are famous to that country. This international fare is standout for sure, but here’s nothing like a plain ol’ donut though to top off our mean. However, here nothing is plain or old. At the Refreshment Port, enjoy a mouth-watering croissant doughnut tossed in cinnamon sugar. Yum!
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
When it comes to things that are out-of-this-world, the doughnut at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant fits the bill. Located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater serves a warm glazed doughnut with cinnamon apples, vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce. The flavors will send you to the moon!
Mint Julep Bar
Finally, at Disneyland, you’ll find donuts on the menu at the Mint Julep Bar, located in New Orleans Square. Here, they are called beignets though – it’s French for, well fritter, which is like a donut, but without the round shape or the hole. It’s tender and is topped with powdered sugar.
