Happy 75th Birthday Chip N’ Dale! Celebrate With Them!
On Monday, April 2, Chip N’ Dale will be celebrating their 75th birthday and you’d never know it by looking at them; they get even more youthful as they age! (What is the secret, guys?) Their crazy antics have been lighting up since they made their costar, silver screen debuts in Private Pluto way back in 1943. It only took one film for the chipmunks to soar to the height of popularity, and their very next film in which they starred (Squatter’s Rights) garnered attention from the Academy! Now with 3 Oscar nominations under their tiny belts, the best friend duo are taking Walt Disney World by storm! To help them celebrate their monumental birthday, here are 5 ways to hang with Chip N’ Dale at Walt Disney World Resort.

Head on over to The Campsites at Fort Wilderness for a one-of-a-kind campfire sing along celebration…starring Chip N’ Dale! Every evening, Chip N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing along takes place beneath the stars, and they’re hoping everyone in the World will join them during their birthday week to roast marshmallows and sing classic campfire tunes! The best part about this meet and greet experience is not the fact that you can bring your own marshmallows (although that’s pretty great!), but the fact that it is absolutely completely 100% free!

Fun fact: chipmunks love music. I didn’t know that until I bumped into Chip N’ Dale first at the campfire sing along….and the very next night at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ! You can find Chip N’ Dale on the dance floor hopping and grooving around the dance floor during the hoedown dance party. If dancing isn’t your style, Chip N’ Dale usually take a few breaks from the action to pose for photos and sign autographs with their fans…those little legs get tired!

Although you can’t tell by their age, Chip N’ Dale like to stay up with the current trends. Birthday brunches are big nowadays, and this week’s character breakfasts at Garden Grill should be enjoyed in celebration of the birthday boys! Every day of the year, Chip N’ Dale and their farmer friends invite for a breakfast bounty in the slowly rotating Garden Grill where they will make their way to your table for photos and autographs! Come hungry, because everything from the warm sticky bun through to the Mickey waffles are delicious!

The birthday boys aren’t taking any time off to celebrate the big day, and you wouldn’t either if you were as popular as they are! If you’re planning to catch a showing of Fantasmic! this week, the birthday boys will be making their nightly appearance aboard Steamboat Willie’s boat full of heroes in the show’s finale.

I know I’m not the only one who wants to give these two a big birthday hug this week, but catching them out and about around the Parks is easier said than done. Within the last few months, I’ve personally seen them taking photos with guests right beneath the flagpole in Town Square in Magic Kingdom. Times vary, so be sure to ask a cast member when they’ll be around when entering the park! MickeyTravels can help book your trip for free!
Before the week is out, make your way to one of these stops to wish Chip and Dale another 75 years’ worth of success. Before you set out to find the chipmunks, I’ll leave you with a tip: You want to know which you’re hugging when you meet them! Telling them apart is easier than you think: Chip’s nose is small and dark in color…just like a chocolate chip! and a fact: Although they’ve got the brotherly love thing going for them, Chip and Dale are actually best friends! Where will you go to celebrate with the birthday boys? Let me know in the comments below!
