Top FIVE Ways to Find Romance at Walt Disney World
1. Magic and Music
Star your evening in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase with dinner at San Angel Inn Restaurante. It is always twilight at this enchanting restaurant which serves Mexican cuisine under the soft fiery glow of Mayan Ruins. Request a seat by the river’s edge for the best views. After dinner, snuggle with your loved one on the boat ride just beyond the restaurant or catch one of Epcot’s seasonal entertainment options. In addition to the fall “Eat to the Beat” and spring “Garden Rocks” concert series, couples can also enjoy the wonder and joy of the holidays at Epcot’s Candlelight Processional every winter.
2. Frontier Fun
Stop by Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for this next romantic endeavor. Evoking the spirit of the American Frontier, this resort is nestled amongst 420 acres of pine and cypress forest and is teeming with wildlife. It is the perfect spot for couples to slip away for a quiet respite from the energetic theme parks. Take a nature walk through the wooded areas looking for deer, rabbits, ducks or armadillos. Or, cozy up for a 25 minute horse-drawn carriage ride through the forested property. Finish the evening with boisterous entertainment and a down-home meal at Disney’s longest running dinner show – the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.
3. Let the Sparks Fly
Walt Disney World has a stunning selection of gorgeous nighttime entertainment options throughout its four theme parks. There is nothing better than watching the dark night sky explode with colorful fireworks perfectly timed to a captivating musical score. Elevate the romance of this experience by taking your loved one to a signature restaurant which offer views of the fireworks from the comfort of your table. Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian offers stunning views of the Happily Ever After fireworks show at Magic Kingdom from its waterfront veranda. Time it just right and you may also catch the Electric Water Pageant float by on the Seven Seas Lagoon just as your meal is served. Or, catch IllumiNations from a water view table at La Hacienda de San Angel in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion where hand-crafted Margaritas reign supreme. Be sure to make your reservation for around one hour before the nighttime entertainment is scheduled to start and include the request for a water view when making the reservation and at check-in.
4. Animal Attraction
Find adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for this next encounter. Start your Wanyama Safari evening at a pre-safari reception with the chefs and cultural representatives of Jiko- The Cooking Place. Then, climb aboard a safari vehicle for a rugged ride as your guide recreates an African game drive across 46 acres of savanna. In addition to adventure, the guide will share tidbits of knowledge on the care and management of the exotic animals located throughout the resort property. Finish your evening with a spectacular multi-course meal at Animal Kingdom Lodge’s signature restaurant Jiko – The Cooking Place.
5. The Grand Finale
For ultimate over-the-top opulence, Disney’s Grand Floridian is the star player. The Grand Floridian, Disney’s Victorian themed resort, is full of luxury, charm, and romance. Start your trip by booking a room at the resort for your vacation and then upgrade your experience with a two-day in-room celebration courtesy of Disney Floral & Gifts. Your celebration begins with a bouquet of a dozen long-stemmed red roses and finishes the next day with scattered rose petals, candles, a Swarovski crystal gift and sparkling cider toast. But we’re not finished! Spend the afternoon at Senses Spa with a relaxing couples massage before dinner at Victoria & Alberts, one of Florida’s finest dining experiences.
